Congratulations to James Ng, who we interviewed a few months ago, on his awards at the VCON convention’s art show last weekend – Artist Guest of Honor Choice and Writer Guest of Honor Choice. Artist Kyle Miller also won awards at the show for Fan Choice – Best Artist, and Best Use of Theme.
Several conventions are coming up in the next few weeks, including Teslacon , Iowa Icon , Emerald City Steampunk Expo , and Upstate Steampunk Extravaganza .

[…] In which I am nominated for a Steamcon Airship Award — Cool! […]
It would seem your are trying to curry favor those that are most public in the genre. Please do not take my comment so discourteous, but bootlicking is not very becoming. It seems you have chosen those in your categorious that everyone knows. This isnt to say they are deserving but it seems like you took the lowroad. It is easy to take those that are in the spotlight, maybe this is to draw attention to a convention or put you in good favor. Lets put it perspective. Just because Abney Park and Priest are everywhere and the most pbilicized, doesnt necessarily mean they are deserving, they are just the names people know off the top of their lazy head. It is like saying GaGa is the best pop princess since she is popping up in the mainstream while Madonna has done more than she will ever. I would hope in the future, you educate yourself and further dive into the world instead of taking the easy way out. Good Day
Thank you, Dr. Oblivion, for posting your comments. I’ll pass them along to Steamcon.
Just to be clear, despite the similar name to my blog, these are the *Steamcon* Airship Awards, not mine. I’m just passing along information.
Thanks for reading!
