Steampunk Hands 2016 – Airships by Mark Jason Page

Hands_2015_XPK2It has been a challenge not to add every new interesting piece of steampunk artwork to my collection. There are so many great pieces of all kind, and more being added every day by the creative artists in out community.

One of them is Mark Jason Page, whom I had a chance to interview a few years ago.

As we talked, Mark noted how his work has a sense of whimsy to it, and he takes some design cues from nature. Inspiration becomes mechanical sea creature forms with the Seahorse Carriage and Steam Goldfish.

What really captivated my attention were the Regal Steam Airship and the Blue Legion. Looking at the whole collection of prints, though, I saw a story come together of a certain Ambassador, moving along from one form of transport to another, winding up on the Airships in the end.

If you watched some episodes of the GSN reality game show Steampunk’d in the fall of 2015, you might have seen Mark’s work hanging in the lounge area.

Take a peek at Mark’s portfolio, and if you enjoy a bit of fun in your steampunk art work, then these images just might be something to add to your own collection.

Follow along each day as new entries are added to the Official Link List and join the discussions on the Facebook event page.
