Steampunk Hands 2016 – Wrap up

Another great event comes to a close!

This year, people from around the world shared some of their favorite things about steampunk and the community. We heard about experiences, searches, and journeys. We had some glimpses into what makes steampunk special for others, and perhaps some of those things were added to our own lists.

Every day, there is something new and interesting in steampunk. Maybe a photo of someone’s work in progress for the next convention, or an idea for a steamsona. Every day, through the miracles of technology, we have the opportunity to see what a steampunk on the other side of the world created and ask them about it. Every day, we have a chance to learn something new and expand our steampunk interests.

Even though Steampunk Hands is over for this year, sharing our favorite things with each other isn’t. We can, and should, share new things we find with each other. Together we make up our community, and together we support each other.

I hope all of you have a wonderfully steamy 2016 and look forward to all the favorite things you share.
