With so many great people, events, and things in our community to be excited, enthralled, and inspired by, it is important to remember that each of those items is only made possible by people. People like you.
Each of you are a part of the steampunk community. Maybe you make, write, draw, or speak. Maybe you attend, share, and invite. Maybe you talk, encourage, learn, and teach. In everything you do, no matter how big or small you might think it is, YOU are creating our community and helping it grow.
With every book, song, and picture you share with someone, YOU are helping others learn about what steampunk is. With every compliment you make to someone on social media or in person, YOU are encouraging someone’s creativity, passion, and desire – if not a need – to continue.
Every day, everything you do in the steampunk community, YOU make all of this possible.
Thank you, also, for all the support you’ve shared with me these last six years of Airship Ambassador. Thank you for your emails, comments, and posts. It has been wonderful to chat with you in person at conventions and other events.
