Welcome to the fourth annual Steampunk Hands Around the World, a month long celebration of the inspiring creativity in our community from every corner of the globe.

The theme this year is Making Life Better and each of this year’s contributors will share some of their experiences where steampunk has, or could, make a difference, in their own lives, our friends’ lives, and in our community.

We will see how steampunk has made a difference in people’s relationships, in their understanding of other people, and in helping them express themselves more fully. Steampunk may have helped people learn more, do more, and be more.

Steampunk can make a difference. WE can make a difference.

Some of these experiences may be similar to your own, or may give you inspiration for other ways to make life and lives better. We all eagerly look forward to reading your own stories about how steampunk makes life better, too.

Follow along each day as new entries are added to the Official Link List,  Tweets are sent using #SteampunkHands, and new discussions are posted on the Facebook event page.

As the posts are submitted from around the world, they will be written in a variety of languages. We recommend using an online translator such as Google or Bing, or the options built into your browser, so as not to miss out on any of the great submissions. Language will not be a barrier to this event nor the steampunk community.
